Even though you select "folding race" what you get is a "folding comp" tire. This tire is about 100 grams heavier each than the real "race" version of this tire. I wish somebody had posted that before i bought... It's still a good tire. It's just not the tire advertised. -- You don't get the "Race" tire

I live in a part of the country where most of the trails are up a pretty steep grade on fairly loose ground and most tires just don't cut it on the climb. The Velociraptor excels at eating up broken ground and rough trails full of loose rock and gravel. I've had one on the rear of my bike and would advise everyone to simply buy one of these if you have a decent tire on the front wheel, these tires were meant to climb, period. After strapping that thing to my 19" On One Inbred, I could climb stuff I would have balked at before. I'm buying another because I have literally worn my current one smooth! Truly a great tire. Very good tire, tough sidewalls and very agressive tread. The sidewalls seem lower profile than the tire of the same dimensions that I had previously, which I dont like, but even so it seems to hold up just fine. I got this tire after searching for the most reasonably priced agressive tire I could find, and this one fits the bill.
I would buy this tire again. -- Good tire, very agressive
